Southern Steel Mesh Sdn Bhd has become part of BRC Asia Limited (BRC) in 2025, after BRC Asia acquired a major stake from Southern Steel Berhad.
Our Business
SSM comprises two core business units: Mesh and C&B.
Our Mesh division runs manufacturing plants in Klang and Prai, Malaysia, with a combined production capacity of 120,000 MT annually with sales revenue of RM300 million and remain a market leader in Malaysia's steel welded mesh industry.
Our C&B division is a leading producer of off-site pre-cut and pre-bent construction steel reinforcement in Malaysia, with an installed capacity of 60,000 MT annually and turnover exceeding RM100 million.
We specialize in supplying pre-cut and pre-bent steel reinforcement bars to construction sites, addressing space constraints, material wastage, and labour shortages — enhancing efficiency, quality control, and promoting a cleaner site environment.
Our advanced machinery — including automatic stirrup machines, bending machines, and shear lines — ensures high precision and consistent quality. Steel billets from in-house plants are processed into reinforcement bars and customized to meet engineering standards: BS4466, BS8666, MS144, MS145 and MS146.
